The Lodge on Jonathan Creek
The lodge has been recently extensivly renovated into one of the finest Maggie Valley Hotels. The results of this hard work can be seen below. New furnishings, flooring, lighting and decorations all complimentary to setting of the Smoky Mountains. The rooms are large and accommodating, some with fireplaces, 1, 2, and 3 beds make room and suites for families of any size.
Yes, the lodge (a Maggie valley Hotel) has an old and has a storied history of welcoming folks to the valley for over a half century. Today, we have made some changes. Kept the old pieces that are part of the buildings sole, and made rustic and classic additions where ever it was fit. You can still see the old river rock facade but now complimenting it is the look and feel of a rustic log inn. All appointments are new. bedding, lighting, carpets, furniture. All hand-picked to fit the theme. All the comforts of a modern hotel that you would expect. Were not stuck in the past, just happy have the history.
The lobby area and the the two story wing to the right as you pull up are the oldest parts of the lodge. River rock that was used is from the site itself. At one time the whole valley was a river bed and its hard to dig in the ground without finding the signature rounded rocks. Now out behind the hotel the Jonathan Creek flows on by. Pull up a chair and listen to the soothing sounds of the creek.
Out front you will find rocking chairs under our large pavilion, for sitting around with friends and talking about the days adventures. Off to the left is covered motorcycle parking provided for the babies of the two wheeled variety.

- The Smoky Falls Lodge is located on Soco Rd, Hwy 19 just on the right as you enter Maggie Valley from the South.
- from the East (Asheville/Charlotte) Take I-40 West to exit 27
- from the West (Knoxville) Take I-40 East to exit 20, 276 South. Take 276 South. Take US 19 North.
- from the North West (Cherokee) Take U.S. 441 South to U.S. 19 North.
- from the Atlanta area and points south Take U.S. 441 to U.S. 23

The lodge has a variety of rooms to fit your needs. We have Jacuzzi rooms, Suites with multiple sleeping areas, Fireplace rooms where cozy is king, and standard rooms with assortment of bed sizes and combinations.
Meetings in the Smoky Falls Room
We can make meetings at the lodge a great experience. Our large Smoky Falls room is set off on its own with a large fireplace and easy access to the Moonshine Grille if catering is needed.
